When thinking about what I wanted to show the new first years I went through all the things I struggled with -
-Distractions
Going out
Flat mates
Nice weather
TV/Films
-Uni Work
Used to the pace, because of Foundation
Intimidated by people who knew stuff about graphics
The quality of my work
-Social life
People couldn't understand me for my slang and vice versa
Going out a lot was fun, but definitely slowed down through the year
Money worries - spending too much, being in my overdraft all of the time
Food - eating really badly all the time, going out and eating because we're bored
There's a lot to worry about in first year and a lot to deal with.
With this list I've decided to go with the idea of slang, and people using words that I didn't understand and vice versa. So I want to help first years and educate them about words they might not have heard of.
