OBEY –
Started out with audience was anyone and
everyone, communication experiment
Later it turned into politics – Obama
audience. Young voters, cool kids, manipulating. Wouldn’t work for an older
audience – figures and stats
Brand identity –
Has making it a consumer item lessened the
power and pureity of Obey? Or is it deserved
What do people think of obey now its
everywhere and attainable - Clothing lines etc,

This chapter is concerning the modern practise of Russian graphic design techniques. After concentrating on OBEY a lot, and discussing Barbara Kruger, there will be links to other current designers. Hopefully using first hand research in the way of interviews and possibly a survey if it necessary. This chapter will talk about constructivism even more as that is the movement I am most interested in.
